Affiliate Disclosure
Last updated October 3, 2026
Plugger is free to use. We keep it running through affiliate links: if you buy something after clicking a store link on Plugger, the store may pay us a small commission. You pay the same price either way.
How it works
- The “Where to buy” links on each part go to Amazon and eBay, on Plugger and Plugger Creator. These are affiliate links.
- If you buy through one, the store (or the affiliate network it works with) may pay Plugger a percentage of the sale.
- This never adds anything to your price, and you’re free to buy anywhere you like.
Our store partners
We only link to stores whose affiliate programs Plugger belongs to, and may earn a commission on purchases made through those links:
- Amazon. As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases.
- eBay. Plugger is a member of the eBay Partner Network, and may be paid a commission when you buy on eBay through our links.
Buying on eBay
eBay is a marketplace, so what you buy there is sold by independent sellers, not by eBay or Plugger. Plugger isn’t endorsed by eBay, and a listing reached through Plugger doesn’t mean we vouch for its seller; check the seller, the item’s condition and the listing on eBay before you buy.
Other programs
Plugger has applied to, or may join, affiliate programs run by other retailers and manufacturers, directly or through networks such as Impact, Rakuten Advertising, CJ, Awin or Sovrn. A store is only linked once its program has approved Plugger, the same rules on this page apply to it, and we’ll list it here when it’s added.
Commissions don’t change our results
- Scores come from published specs and benchmark results, worked out the same way for every part in its category. On Plugger Creator, graphics card and processor scores use results in real apps where they’ve been measured: Blender Open Data (public domain, CC0) and Puget Bench for Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, After Effects and Photoshop, cited with Puget Systems’ permission and credited under each comparison. Plugger isn’t paid by Blender or Puget Systems. Estimated benchmark results are always marked as estimates in comparisons. No store or brand can pay to rank higher, or to be a home page value pick. See How we score for what each score is based on.
- The price we show, where a store’s price data is connected, is the cheapest new listing we found of that part at that store, whichever brand made it (on eBay, including shipping). We don’t pick a pricier listing because it pays more.
- eBay is shown on its own. Where to buy has a “Stores” box and a separate “On eBay” box: eBay’s prices are never ranked in one list with other stores’ prices. Within the Stores box, the best price is highlighted by price alone, whatever that store pays us. A part’s price on its card and in lists comes from the other stores when they have one, and from eBay only when they don’t.
Sponsored placements
Plugger doesn’t run paid placements today. If it does, they’ll be labelled Sponsored and kept separate from part results and rankings.
Prices and availability
Plugger doesn’t have store price data yet, so every price on the site is the part’s launch price (MSRP), the price the manufacturer announced at launch, labelled as such. It’s there to compare parts, not to tell you what a store charges today: check the store’s own page for the current price and stock. Price comparisons on Plugger say “launched at” for this reason.
Screenshots
The camera button on a comparison makes a picture of it marked plugger.site. Store prices, eBay listings, store names and links are left out of it, and so are figures worked out from a store price, such as an SSD’s endurance per dollar. Store prices and listings are shown only on Plugger itself, kept current, and a picture can’t stay current. Specs, scores and launch prices (MSRP), which are Plugger’s own, stay in. For today’s prices, open the part on plugger.site.
